Alrighty, all done watching? Let's move on.

It's shameless the way CNN put that interview together. Instead of staying neutral and listening to both sides of the story, the anchor had already made up his mind and continuously attacked the interviewees and bashed the video.

His job is not to tell us what to think, his job is to make sure the whole story is known, and then WE decided what to think. He needs to go away. To Cuba maybe, where people might share his idea's.

What is my opinion on the video? I think it's brilliant. It speaks to hip-hop/gangster culture in it's own language, sending a positive message.

It also manages to satirize the repetitive brainwashing nature of Public Service Announcements. I still have a hard time trying new food, thanks to the "If you don't know what it is, don't you put it in your mouth" puppets.

But, that's just me. What do you think?

Since my last update, there have been some things that have really upset me, and also some things that have brought a smile to my face. I can't be bothered to list any of them.

So i guess there's a lesson to be learned: Life is all about balance; It's going to get bad, really bad, but some great times are also ahead. So try to enjoy life and do as little as possible (just enough to shut up those nagging voices).

Alright so I'm officially psychic!

A while back, I made a joke about how Jon Gosselin should hook up with Nadya Suleman and they could create a show called John And Nadya + 8 + Another 8 Every Second Weekend.

Well...Apparently Nadya is obsessed with Jon...and they may....wait for it....get their own reality show which would focus on them dating.

God, please don't give these people a show....they're horrible, horrible people. They want attention, and we're giving it to them. Just let them fade away people, they're not worth our time!

Politicians

Why is it that when a leader of a political party is the Opposition, they're all for the people and they're best interests, but once they gain power, all that is forgotten? Stupid question. The answer is obvious. But we need to remember that when election day roles around (And NO, I don't mean don't vote for at all; I mean vote for change, vote for something different. And NO I don't mean vote for Howard Galganov).
I'm looking at you Michael Ignatieff and Dalton McGuinty.

I have no idea who Balloon boy is, and I REALLY don't care. All I know is that he seems to be all the news can talk about. And his father is being compared to Jon Gosselin. That's all I needed to hear to know that this story is yet another ...media sensationalized piece about useless people made famous for being idiots. We have to stop this people....

And what's with these nicknames? Balloon Boy? Octomom? Arghh, if people put as much effort into making the world a better place as they do obsessing over pseudo-celebrities, we'd be living in a utopia. And if I spent as much time building a... time machine as I do bitching about this kind of thing, I could transport myself to a different time...

Socialized Medicine

I'm surprised how many Americans are protesting "Socialized Medicine". How ignorant can you be? Our system sure isn't perfect...but that's because the governments WE elect are spending money on wars in Afghanistan and gi...ving fat pensions to MP's who put in only 6 years of service instead of into our hospitals. And it's still better than their system.

Oh, And when and why did Socialism become a four letter word? A lot of the values that once made Canada one of the best and most respected countries in the world are "socialist" in nature.

Songs in Commercials

Ok, my first blog is going to be short and sweet.

I really, REALLY (really!) hate when companies take popular songs, and change the lyrics around to sell their product. No, i don't think you understand, it REALLY (really!) gets on my nerves.

They are so badly written, corny and crass that it's hard to believe it was written by a college graduate. Hell, it's hard to believe they were written by an elementary school graduate.

No, not all of these songs were works of art to begin with, but compared to the bastardized versions put out by advertising firms, the originals are like Beethovens 9th.
